Offer for senior civil servants to study masters

Senior civil servants who are below the age of 45 years have been urged by the Public Service Commission to apply to study a Masters in International Relations at China’ s Foreign Affairs University or a Masters in Public Administration at Sun Yat Sen University.
The Peoples Republic of China through its Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) is offering four scholarships to successful Fiji Citizens.

Mr Parmesh Chand says the programme duration is from September 2011 to August 2012 adding that MOFCOM will bear the costs of tuition, a return air ticket, accommodation, traffic costs, field works expenses, a certain amount of living allowances for each month, treatment of acute diseases (chronic disease excluded).
He added recipients of the scholarships would be expected to pay for visa fees, excess luggage for ticket reschedule and individual personal expenditures.
Successful candidates will be required to abide by the criteria and guidelines of Fiji Government’s In-service training.
The following documents required are:
· Three recent passport size photos
· A formal degree certificate of the applicants highest education
· Academic transcripts of the applicants highest education
· Personal statement
· Two letters of recommendation
· One photocopy of applicants passport
· Photocopies of English language proficiency test results

Three sets of fully completed application forms are to be submitted to the Public Service Commission Scholarship Office at 61 Carnavon Street, Suva will all relevant documents.
