The work of the Pacific Autism Centre is invaluable, and it is critical that their efforts are supported.
The PAC received a monetary donation from the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection to support the work they do in providing assistance to autistic children and their families.
Following a visit to the PAC last year, the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection Hon. Lynda Tabuya recognised autism as a disability for the purpose of providing social protection in the form of disability allowances for children with autism.
During the handover, Minister Tabuya expressed her gratitude to PAC for their unwavering commitment to improving the lives of autistic children and their parents.
The Minister reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to enhancing support services for children with special needs and their families, emphasising the importance of collaboration in fostering an inclusive society.
