PRIME Minister Josaia Bainimarama has departed Suva to make initial assessments of the level of damage in the Western Division.
This is in the aftermath of the Tropical Cyclone Evan that hit the Western Division yesterday and is believed to have caused some damages to infrastructure as well as private properties.
The head of government is accompanied by the permanent secretary for the Ministry of Works and Transport, Commander Francis Kean.
Prime Minister Bainimarama will using the Queens Highway and will be visiting areas hit by the cyclone.
