Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama commissioned the Nakalou village grid extension and home wiring on the coasts of Macuata yesterday (13/09/22).
Prime Minister Bainimarama said villagers could now experience the benefits of a reliable power supply every hour of the day, without having to worry about the costs of keeping candles and kerosene lamps on standby.
He added that as a result, members of the community can now connect to the National Television Broadcaster through Walesi TV to cheer on our National Teams and that the Government will go to any length to meet Fijians' needs.
They were also presented with a Walesi set-up box and monitor.
