Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama handed over a Walesi set up box and television screen to Seaqaqa Primary School today (12/09/22).
PM Bainimarama highlighted that as a part of the Fijian Government's initiative, Walesi would continue to provide free set-up boxes to every household that has a collective income of less than $30,000.
He said in line with the five year and 20 year National plan to bridge the digital divide for Fijians, Walesi has connected 580 communities, villages and schools across the country.
PM Bainimarama added that the digital switchover exercise, where broadcasters have ceased their analogue transmission services and switched to Walesi's digital platform, has been successfully completed in Viti Levu.
He said this exercise will commence in the Northern Division on Monday, the 19th of this month.
