The Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama arrived at the chiefly island of Lakeba to start day two of his Lau province tour.??The tour began with a visit to Ratu Mara College where the Prime Minister inspected school facilities, showing government’s commitment to the education of children.??Commodore Bainimarama emphasised the importance of education to the future well being of the nation and he called on parents to show greater commitment in the education of their children.??The tour schedule included a visit Ratu Finau Secondary.??From Ratu Mara College, Commodore Bainimarama headed for Tubou Village where he sat in a talanoa session with villagers, a communication strategy used by the Government to closely consult with people at the grassroots.??He will also inspect housing rehabilitation projects at Vakano, Nasaqalau and Yadrana villages.??The Prime Ministerial delegation departs for Oneata island by 2pm.??A talanoa session will be held at Waiqori Village along with a visit to the school and nursing station.??
