Prime Minister Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka has reaffirmed the Coalition Government’s commitment to building a united, stable, and prosperous Fiji during his address at the opening of the Macuata Provincial Council meeting at Nabouono Village in Udu Point yesterday.
 
In his remarks, Prime Minister Rabuka paid tribute to the Tui Macuata, traditional leaders, elders, and the people of Macuata for their strong cultural values, resilience, and leadership in preserving the land and sea that sustain them.
 
He said Macuata stands as a strong pillar of Vanua Levu.
 
The Prime Minister acknowledged the province’s stewardship of the Cakaulevu (Great Sea Reef) and its ongoing efforts to adapt to changing environmental and economic challenges.
 
He reiterated the Government’s focus on strengthening livelihoods, promoting transparency and good governance, empowering local communities, and protecting Fiji’s natural environment for future generations.
 
Hon. Rabuka also highlighted the importance of unity and collaboration under Fiji’s national vision of an Ocean of Peace, symbolising the need for harmony and shared purpose among all Fijians.
 
At the outset, he called on provincial leaders to work closely with Government to translate development plans into action that directly benefits their people.
 
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister urged the people of Macuata to move forward together in the spirit of peace and faith.
