PM’S OFFICE AND NJV DONATE PHOTOCOPIER TO NAMOSI SCHOOL

The Prime Minister’s Office and the Namosi Joint Venture (NJV) today donated a Ricoh Photocopier worth more than $4000 to St Peters College of Namosi on Friday afternoon.

The Permanent Secretary for the Prime Minister’s Office Colonel Pio Tikoduadua and the Namosi Joint Venture Country Manager Greg Morris visited the school with government officers for this purpose. Colonel Tikoduadua commended the support given by the Namosi Joint Venture.

Namosi Joint Venture Country Manager Greg Morris commended the partnership with Government and the people of Namosi.

“I thank the Prime Minister’s Office for giving us the wisdom to help in this situation because education is very important. First you need good teachers who has the passion with them. You need students who are willing to learn. Namosi Joint Venture is glad to be a partner with the Government and with the community of Namosi in improving the education of its children,” Morris said.

The Permanent Secretary for the Prime Minister’s Office Colonel Pio Tikoduadua told students, parents and teachers of the St Peters College that the Prime Minister’s Office and Government through its policy and through its vision views education as a key component towards socio economic development. 

He challenged the students of Namosi to pursue all opportunities through education.

“Do not let the mountains of Namosi discouraged you from education. The aim of education is for you to make a better decision in life. Once it enlightens you, it will tell you that the world is bigger than Namosi,” he said.

“Ninety nine percent of the small grants given out by the Prime Minister’s Office goes to education. As advocated in the pillar nine of the Peoples Charter, Government wants you to become better educated citizens", Mr Tikoduadua said.
