In a solemn gesture of remembrance, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, President of the Republic of Fiji, concluded his official duties by visiting the 9/11 Memorial in New York.
The visit was an opportunity for President Katonivere to pay his respects to the fallen men and women who lost their lives in the tragic September 11 attacks.
Accompanied by Permanent Resident of the United Nations, Filipo Tarakinikini, Ambassador Vuidreketi, Leader of the Opposition, Inia Seruiratu, and Member of Parliament Iowane Naivalurua, President Katonivere laid a wreath at the memorial on behalf of the people of Fiji.
