H.E the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, last night met with the Fijian community living in Majuro, capital of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
At a reception held in his honor, Fiji’s Head of State reminded the Fijians living there that Fiji will continue to work closely with the Marshall Islands to grow relations.
The Fijian President is currently on a State Visit to the Micronesian nation and met this week with his Marshall Islands counterpart, His Excellency Christopher J Loeak, and members of the Marshallese Parliament.
Ratu Epeli briefed them on Fiji’s electoral developments with the first democratic parliamentary general elections to be held on 17th September, 2014.
