PRIME MINISTER RE-EMPHASISES THE NEED FOR EDUCATING CHILDHREN

03/07/2012

“With technology and modern–lifestyles reshaping the way we do business nowadays, it is important for our children to receive the best form of education available so that we can all progress further in helping to develop our Fiji”.

These were the words of Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama as he reminded the men and women of the RFMF of the need to encourage their children to attend holiday and weekend classes as a way of improving their own education.

A recent survey by the RFMF indicated that children who had attended the extra day classes had recorded a successive pass rate of more than 58%.

Meanwhile Commodore Bainimarama also reminded the military personnel  present at the Commander’s Medal Parade today that the Electronic Voter Registration process was an integral component of the People’s Charter which the RFMF has been was very much part of since 2006.

“I am encouraging you all to register including your families and it is important for the RFMF to take the lead in ensuring that the EVR process is successful”, Commander Bainimarama added.

The RFMF will also be making submissions to the Constitution Consultation Commission.
