PRIME MINISTER SENDS WELL WIHES TO INDIA PRIME MINISTER

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has sent a congratulatory message to his Indian counterpart, Dr Manmohan Singh on India’s 65th Republic Day anniversary.

“On behalf of the Fijian People and on my own behalf, I extend my warmest wishes for peace and prosperity to the people and the government of India on the occasion of your 65th Republic Day,” PM Bainimarama said.

“I would like to express to Your Excellency, my best wishes for your continued personal well-being and happiness of the people of India all over the world.”

The head of government added that all Fijians joined India every 26th January to commemorate the date the Indian constiZtution came into effect.

“I look forward to continuing our work to strengthen our much-valued bilateral relations and regional cooperation that so exists over many historical years,” PM Bainimarama said.

“We stand ready to further strengthen the cooperation between our two countries and develop it to even higher levels across the board, including further defence, economic, trade, cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Fiji and India.”
