While most students are enjoying the beginning of their holidays, Lami High School prefects together with their teachers made a sacrifice to attend a two-day seminar they organised on May 2 and 3.
On the first day, the prefects of Lami High School evaluated their Term One performance and also set their Term Two plan.
There were guest speakers in the first day program covering professional development for prefects.
“We are happy to use the first two days of the holidays to make evaluations and set plans because we don’t have to waste time organising this during school days in the second term,” the school headboy said.
The Minister for Education, Mr Filipe Bole is pleased to see these student leaders sacrificing their time for the seminar.
“It is worthwhile to teach student leaders, that leadership involves sacrifices and commitment,” the minister said.
Mr Bole thanked teachers and prefects of Lami High School for their brilliant effort.
The prefects concluded their seminar with a picnic at Deuba Beach.
