The President of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Hu Jintao has congratulated Fiji for celebrating its 39th year of Independence.
In a congratulatory statement to His Excellency the Acting President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, President Hu Jintao praised Fiji for the significant achievements it has reached during the course of its nation building.
“I wish to extend on behalf of the Government and people of the People’s Republic of China and in my own name, our warm congratulations to you, to the Government and the people of the Republic of the Fiji Islands.
“The Chinese Government attaches great importance to the China-Fiji relations and considers Fiji a good friend and partner in the Pacific region,” President Hu Jintao said.
His Excellency President Hu Jintao highlighted that China wishes to strengthen its friendly exchange and cooperation with Fiji.
