Government is currently looking for qualified individuals to apply for open positions as Voter Registration Clerks as a part of preparations to hold Parliamentary elections in Fiji by September 2014.
One of the pre-election activities required for this exercise is the registration of voters through an Electronic Voter Registration (EVR) system. There are 1,050 positions open that will comprise the EVR Team.
Successful applicants will be responsible to the Acting Permanent Secretary for Justice through the Principle Administrative Officer, Elections Office on conducting voter registration for eligible voters. The job consists of filling our registration forms and entering relevant personal information and biometric data into the EVR system. He or she will also be required to assist in crowd management and the issuance of identity cards to eligible voters.
In addition, the individual may be required to work in any registration centre in Fiji. The EVR exercise is expected to occur over an eight-week period. Applicants must be over 18 years of age, have a good pass in Fiji School Leaving Certificate or Form 7 examination. A certificate, diploma or degree in computing is desirable but not necessary. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively.
The position includes a wage of $160-$279 per week. Applications must include:
- Detailed and updated copy of their curriculum vitae
- Certified copies of relevant certificates
- A certified copy of birth certificate
- Two recent passport photos
- Bank account details
- Police Clearance Receipt (Police reports are to be sent directly to the address below)
