The Coalition Government continues to strive to better the standard of education in our nation, transform it so that it meets the needs of all the learners, and remain steadfast in providing quality and inclusive education to all children in Fiji.
This was highlighted by Minister for Education Hon. Aseri Radrodro during the Vuci Methodist Primary School graduation ceremony earlier in the week.
"Events like these are very important as they give us an opportunity to come together in celebration of the next step in the school journey of our children."
"It also allows us to acknowledge those students who have achieved a distinction showing their success in their education. We commend these students not just for the sake of praising their achievements, but because of the example they are setting for their peers.”.
The Minister also highlighted the Government's $200 Back to School support which is now open, and stressed that those parents and guardians who have a combined gross annual income of $50,000 or less will be eligible to apply.
He urged all qualifying parents and guardians to complete one application form per eligible child and submit this to the heads of their children's schools by December 6, 2024, when all applications will close.
The Education Minister thanked all the parents, guardians, and teachers for playing a critical role in cultivating civic pride and moral values in the children and emphasised that the Ministry needs their support to work together to ensure that our children receive the nurturing and attention they deserve, both at school and at home.
