The Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations will soon strengthen its services to members of the communities in Rakiraki, Tailevu, Naitasiri and Burebasaga.
Permanent Secretary for Employment, Mr. Osea Cawaru highlighted that this is a commitment by Government in taking its service to the people in improving service delivery to all Fijians during this challenging period.
“The Ministry’s services will be provided from the Rakiraki Provincial Administrator’s (PA) Office in Vaileka and from the Commissioner Central's Office in Nausori every Thursday on a fortnightly basis commencing from 15 October, 2020 from 8.30am to 4.30pm,” Mr Cawaru said.
“These districts can now access the services of the Ministry on queries pertaining to minimum terms and conditions of employment, occupational health and safety, mediation services, employment opportunities (local and overseas) or general enquiries in relation to employment, productivity and industrial relations’ issues.”
The Ministry will be trialing this fortnightly visit arrangements before a review is done where members of the public will be further advised.
Employment Permanent Secretary urged members of the public to fully utilise this opportunity as the Ministry commits in taking its services at the convenience of all Fijians.
