This week, Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum handed over a tractor to the Ratu Naevo Farms Co-operative as part of the Government’s continued commitment to invest in our Micro, Small, and Medium Businesses.
Through the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Transport's Integrated Human Resources Development Programme, the Fijian Government funded two-thirds of the cost and the co-operative secured the remaining one-third through the Fiji Development Bank, bringing the total investment to over $77,000.
The tractor is an asset not only for the co-operative and their community but also a step forward in improving farming methods through mechanisation and increased cultivation & production levels to meet a growing market demand as a result of our resurging tourism sector.
