RESTORATION OF POWER SUPPLY AFFECTED

The prevailing weather conditions have affected restoration of power supply to a number of areas.

While access to some of these areas has been an issue, the Fiji Electricity Authority teams are working on faults and damage to the power system in these areas and trying their best to restore power supply at the earliest.

In the Western Division, these areas are still without power supply:

· Rakiraki - Naria to Waimicia, Ra High School and towards Vunibaka and whole of Rakiraki

· Tavua - Nadarivatu, Yaladro, Nabuna to Rakiraki

· Ba - a small part of Ba Town

· Nadi - Denarau Golf & Racquet Club, part of Nadi town, Navakai, Namomoto, Mountain View Namaka, Nawakalevu

· Sigatoka - Bavu Village, Momi, Batiri Village, Qoqo Island Resort, Ciri Road, Nalele Village, Batiri Village, Tilivalevu Village, & Vunitavau Village including the Vodafone & Radio Fiji Stations.

In the Northern Division, power supply is yet to be restored to Nakubolu Village, Maroroya Falls and Balego in Savusavu.

Central Division - parts of Muaniveni and Baulevu were without power this morning but power has been restored.

FEA would like to advise the public to call on 913 to report any broken lines or low lying power lines.

Members of the public are to treat all broken lines as live and refrain from touching it.
