Ratu Epeli Nailatikau was officially appointed the President of the Republic of Fiji at Government House this morning.
The swearing in ceremony was officiated by the Chief Justice, Mr Anthony Gates, who administered the Oath of Allegiance and Oath for the Due Execution of the Office of the President.
In taking his Oath of Allegiance, His Excellency the President,Ratu Epeli Nailatikau said he would well and truly serve the Republic of Fiji.

More photos After the swearing in ceremony, His Excellency Ratu Nailatikau was accorded a guard of honor and was accompanied by the Guard Commander to inspect the parade at Government House.
Members of the Diplomatic corp and Cabinet Ministers together with the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama were part of the distinguished guests present at the swearing in ceremony.
