Report late teachers - school committees urged

19/05/2010

The Education Minister, Mr Filipe Bole, today has urged parents, school committees and managements to report on teachers arriving late to school.

The decision follows a series of complaints by parents about teachers being habitually late to school.

In one of the radio stations yesterday, a parent has pleaded for action to be taken against teachers who have formed the habit of reporting late to school.

Unless for special circumstances, all those teachers who arrive late to school will have their pays docked.

The Ministry fully appreciates those teachers who have been diligently working and abiding by their schools’ regulations but will not tolerate those deliberately taking a casual attitude towards their work.
