SINGAPORE INVITES FIJIAN ATTORNEY-GENERAL TO DELIVER PAPER

Fijian Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is traveling to Singapore to attend the 11th Heads of Prosecuting Agencies Conference at the invitation of Singapore's Attorney-General. The Fijian Attorney-General will be accompanied by the Fijian Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde.

 

The event, March 20-22, brings together the heads of the prosecuting agencies of various countries,  including Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mauritius and New Zealand. The theme of this year's conference is "Challenges in Crime in the 21st Century."

 

Fiji has also been asked to deliver a presentation. Topics of papers to be delivered by participants include "Trans-jurisdictional Bribery," "Dealing with Victims and Accused Persons with Disabilities," and Challenges to Prosecutorial Discretion."
