The new Commissioner of Police, Bernadus Groenewald, is beginning a series of meetings with Government ministers and other officials to familiarise himself with his duties.
There will be no comment from him until that process is complete.
A news conference with the Commissioner will be convened in due course.
Please note that he is not meeting the Defence Minister today, as reported in one of the newspapers. The Defence Minister is with H.E the President on his current overseas tour.
