School managements around the country are requested to secure all school buildings, teachers’ quarters and other physical properties in the school compounds because of the development of Cyclone Mick.
Principals, Head teachers and staff members who are still living in the school compounds are asked to take all precaution procedures to minimize damages and losses.
School managements that own motor vehicles and boats are asked to see that vehicles are parked well in the garages and boats pulled ashore.
Once the cyclone passes over, immediate surveys are to be conducted and reports filed to their respective Education District Offices.
District Education Officers are also encouraged to be alert for reports coming from the schools.
