The position of Chief Registrar in the judiciary has become vacant following the departure of Ms Ana Rokomokoti.
Her secondment into the Civil Service has accordingly lapsed.
Consideration is currently being given to the appointment of a new Chief Registrar in line with the provision of the Administrator of Justice Decree 2009.
The work of the Office of the Chief Registrar meanwhile continue normally.
Government is thankful to the services which Ms Rokomokoti rendered as Acting Chief Registrar since April, 2009 and more recently following her confirmation as Chief Registrar.
