The Minister of Education, Mr Filipe Bole says students all over Fiji are psyched up for external examinations, which begins next month.
“External examinations will begin next month with the Fiji Junior Certificate Examination (FJCE) from Tuesday, November 2 to Thursday November 11,” Mr Bole said.
“This will be the last time for the Fiji Junior Certificate Examination to appear as a national examination for our children. 15,209 Form 4 candidates will be sitting their FJCE in 162 centres throughout Fiji.
“Next, the Fiji Seventh Form Examination (FSFE) will start the following week, Monday November 8v until Friday the November 19. 4812 students will sit FSFE at 105 centres.
“Lastly the Fiji School Leaving Certificate or FSLC begins one week after the FSFE. 12,663 students will sit their FSLC in 158 centres. FSLC will be from Tuesday November 16 to Monday November 29.”
Parents and teachers are advised to provide all the support that these candidates need as they prepare themselves for the examinations.
