The Georgian Government will provide 105 Netbooks – classmate personal computers for school students around the country.
The Georgian Foreign Affairs Minister, Grigol Vashadze in a letter to his Fiji counterpart Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, confirmed the decision to provide 105 Netbooks – classmate PCs for the Fijian school children as aid.
The netbooks will be available for delivery in December.
The Georgian Government has reserved six places at the Tbilisi State Medical University and the Tbilisi State University for students from Fiji.
This is part of the scholarship programme promised to Fiji.
Mr Vashadze requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide his office specific medical faculties that could represent the field of interest for the Fijian students in Georgia.
“At the same time, we (Georgian government) shall welcome your preferences concerning the languages for Fijian diplomats to be taught at the Tbilisi State University,” Mr Vashadze said.”
“My office will continue to work closely with Fiji counterparts to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.”
The Georgian minister with the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama then a courtesy call to the Ratu Inoke.
