The Fijian Government’s third round of the $50 cash assistance programme has seen 205,000 Fijians benefitting.
The roll-out by the Ministry of Economy has seen $10.2 million spent in assisting Fijians affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The applications for this assistance opened on Wednesday 30 June and ended on Friday 2 July 2021.
Total payout to the informal sector, including the earlier rounds of the $50 and $90 cash assistance now stands at $32 million.
For those in the formal sector, the Fijian Government has so far directly paid out $183 million.
