As we approach the cyclone season, a timely donation was made today by the China Village Investors in the handing over a fiberglass boat with an engine at a cost of $25,000 to the Commissioner Central Division for disaster relief purposes.
The boat will be used to assist the Central Division Emergency Operators during disasters and adds to the machinery that are used to carry out relief works.
While receiving the fiberglass boat on behalf of government, Commissioner Central, Josefo Navuku thanked the China Village Investors Managing Director Mr Jacky Fung for providing the assistance to the Central Division especially to the people living in the low lying areas in Nausori.
Mr Navuku said that this assistance will strengthen their relationship with the China Village Estate Development (Fiji) Pte Ltd and also encourage other companies to exercise their social cooperate responsibility towards the development of the division.
