Governor-General of Australia, His Excellency General David John Hurley, and Her Excellency, Linda Hurley, were traditionally welcomed at the Grand Pacific Hotel this morning.
As he thanked all those involved in the traditional welcome ceremony, the Governor-General noted that it was an honour to be in Fiji at a time when Fiji and Australia share strong bilateral ties.
Also present at the traditional welcome ceremony were Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, and members of the diplomatic corps.
The traditional ceremonies of welcome were performed by the Vanua of Natauvakarua and Kalokolevu, and the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs.
