His Excellency the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau today received the credentials of the High Commissioner for Tuvalu to Fiji, His Excellency Mr Lutelu Faavae.
In receiving the letters of credence confirming his designation as Tuvalu’s envoy to Fiji, President Nailatikau wished the High Commissioner to Fiji well during his term.
“I welcome you most warmly to the Republic of Fiji and wish you a happy and successful mission”.
“Please convey to His Excellency the Acting Governor General, the Government and the people of Tuvalu our warmest wishes for their continued well being, peace and prosperity”.
His Excellency Faavae has served in the civil service and has held the post of Permanent Secretary in several Ministries in Tuvalu which includes sports, education, culture, natural resources, foreign affairs, and communications and transport.
His Excellency also holds a Master of Business Administration which he attained at the University of the South Pacific. He also attained a Professional Membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians, from Abingdon College of Further Education, in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom.
