TUVALU STANDS BY FIJI

The nation of Tuvalu has pledged its support to working closely with Fiji to ensure that prosperity and peace continues to grow in the region.

Tuvalu’s Prime Minister Hon Willy Telavi relayed this to his Fiji counterpart Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in his congratulatory message on Fiji’s 42nd independence anniversary.

“On the auspicious occasion of the 42nd Independence Day of the Republic of the Fiji Islands, I would like to extent, on behalf of the Government and people of Tuvalu our warmest congratulations and best wishes to you and the people of the Republic of the Fiji Islands”, Prime Minister Telavi said.

“May I take this opportunity to express the wish for your good health and also reaffirm Tuvalu’s desire to further enhance and consolidate the excellent bond of friendship that have existed over the years between our two countries”.

“As the Republic of Fiji Islands celebrates its 42nd Independence Day, know that Tuvalu stands with you and will continue to work closely with you towards greater growth, peace and prosperity in the region”.
