Take time to reflect - Teachers told

17/03/2011

The Education Minister,  Mr Filipe Bole is calling on head teachers, school principals and their teachers to take time, look back and assess what they have achieved since the beginning of the term.

Schools have now passed the first half of the first term and it would be advisable for teachers to see how much work they have covered and how much learning has taken place.

“Since we have passed the first half of term one, teachers are encouraged to look back and assess how much they have achieved,” Mr Bole said.

“Your assessment results should direct your course for the next six weeks before school ends. Lately we have seen reports of schools taking part in sports competitions. This must never compromise the main objective of students being in schools, because at the end of the day parents would want to know how much their children have learned,” the minister added.
