The Fiji Teachers Registration Board is now in full operation and teachers are reminded to get themselves registered before school begins in January 2010 or would be at a risk of losing their jobs. Annual fee is $30 for existing teachers but for newly appointed teachers, they need to pay $40 for 2010.
Teachers are requested to pay their fees through a Government revenue collector and receipts produced at their District Education Office for data entry and for the issuance of Provisional Registration letter for 2010. Registration for teaching for the year 2010 is now open before December 31.
The Ministry of Education is asking all its District Education Offices to start alerting Head Teachers and Principals that the registration of their existing teachers for 2010 must be validated before January 25, 2010.
Once again the Ministry wishes to remind teachers, that no unregistered teacher is allowed to enter any classroom.
