The Fiji National University (FNU) will soon launch a new professional film and television production studio this October.
FNU Head of Film and Television Production Department, Mr. Ravi Malik said the fully equipped studio will include a professional facility for film production, shooting and editing.
The studio, located in the FNU Raiwai campus, will be like any other Film studio in India, New Zealand and Australia.
“The fabrication work on the studio is continuing and initially it will be primarily for training purposes. However, once this studio is fully operational, we are thinking of renting out the services but that will come later,” he said.
Mr. Malik said since it began in February eleven students have enrolled for courses in Film and TV production.
The studio is fully funded by the FNU.
