The Education Ministry has assessed a substantial number of applications for Transport Assistance from all the 9 Education Districts and schools will soon be issued with coupons in time for February 15- the scheduled date for this assistance to begin.
The Ministry is aware that some schools have staggered their enrolment dates so submissions to Headquarters have been received in batches.
Batches, which were received earlier, have been processed and transport coupons have been prepared to be delivered to the District Education Offices for school heads to collect.
Late applications will be delayed and for this, students and parents must not panic- transport coupons are on their way.
Head teachers and Principals must collect their coupons from their respective District Education Office by Friday, 12 February.
At present, Ministry officials are working around the clock to ensure all eligible students receive their coupons in due course.
