Undeclared currency

Two male passengers carrying undeclared US Currency amounting to US$35,000 (FJ$64,729) were intercepted at Nadi International Airport on Tuesday, November 29 by Customs officers.

Passengers are required to report currency in excess of FJ$10,000 or equivalent in foreign currency under the Financial Transaction Reporting Act 2004.

The currencies have been seized and the matter referred to Border Police for necessary investigations.
