The newest permanent Voter Registration Centre is now open at Nadi International Airport.
The Acting Permanent Secretary Responsible for Elections, Mohammed Saneem, says the centre will provide Fijians travelling into and out of the country a convenient location to register to vote in the 2014 General Election.
"While the Elections Office continues to travel around the world registering potential voters living overseas, the Nadi Airport Centre will give Fijians who missed the chance to register when the Elections Office visited their country the opportunity to do so as they pass through Fiji. It will also give Fijians living in countries that will not be visited by the Elections Office the ability to register when they come home," Mr Saneem said.
The new Registration Center is located in the Nadi Airport concourse near the international check-in area and is open from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 6.00am and 9.00pm.
Mr Saneem says Fijians who are already registered can also check that their personal voter details are correct, make changes to their entry, or replace lost voter identification cards.
Voter Registration Centres are also currently open in Suva, Nausori, Lautoka, Labasa and Rakiraki.
