WAF CALLS TENDER TO END WATER WOES IN ELEVATED PARTS OF NASINU-SUVA AREAS

Suva, Fiji- The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is excited to announce an upgrade to the water infrastructure in the high elevated areas within the Tamavua and Colo-i-Suva corridor. The project aims to enhance water services, addressing the challenges faced by residents and ensuring a consistent supply of clean water.

Project Overview
WAF, the sole provider of quality drinking water and wastewater collection services across Fiji, initiating the design and construction of new water infrastructure, specifically tailored to meet the needs of the high elevated areas within the Tamavua and Colo-i-Suva corridor. This project will improve water services and ensure a reliable supply to the residents in these regions.

Currently, the water supply in these elevated areas is inconsistent, affecting the quality of life and the operational efficiency of businesses and homes sometimes. With the planned upgrade, WAF aims to provide a consistent and clear water supply, benefiting the entire community and supporting future growth in the area.

Call for Proposals
WAF has sought proposals from suitably qualified contractors to design and construct the Elevated Princes Road Water Infrastructure Project. The project will be executed under the “Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build,” FIDIC Yellow Book 2017. Contractors with expertise in water infrastructure are invited to submit their proposals, demonstrating their capability to deliver high-quality and sustainable solutions. Call for Proposals was released on Friday, May 31st, 2024, and closes on Friday, July 26th, 2024.
