28/05/2012

The spectacular Warwick Fiji Resort and Spa general manager Ung Beng Huat said it was an honor for the resort to be able to host the “marry me” exposition and convention organised by Tourism Fiji last Friday.

“When Tourism Fiji approached us to host this event we were glad to do so. It was an honor for the resort to host the exposition and be part of this very important event showcasing Fiji as the ideal wedding market for tourists all over the world,” Mr Huat said.

“We are happy to be able to host more than 150 agents from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

“Just by hosting this important tourism event Fiji is able to showcase its attractive packages to the world as the ideal wedding and honeymoon location.”

Mr Huat said tourists visited Fiji not only for vacation but also for weddings and honeymoons.

“Fiji is an island paradise with so many beautiful islands with much to offer to tourists,” he said.

“The biggest attractions are the people themselves. Tourists love the Fijian warm and welcoming attitude and of course the big ‘bula’ smile.”

Warwick’s ‘Talanoa Hall’  was the venue for the “marry me: tradeshow case whereby resort managers, marketing and sales officers, event organizers, wedding planners and service providers showcase their products to overseas visitors.

“Overseas delegates were introduced to the product of each individual resort. Each resort had its own unique product to sell,” the general manager said.

Definitely the visiting agents will take back ideas on what Fiji can offer as the ideal wedding market for tourists.

Located directly on the beach along Fiji's famous Coral Coast, the Warwick Fiji Resort and Spa is a 5-star resort with stunning Pacific Ocean views. All rooms have a private balcony.

Warwick Fiji Resort and Spa Resort is a 90-minute drive from Nadi International Airport with five restaurants and four bars, including a swim-up and cocktail bar overlooking the beach.
