The Water Authority of Fiji will be conducting upgrading works at its Waila Treatment Plant tomorrow,
Saturday 26th February 2011 from 9am for up to 7 hours.
This means that production will cease during this period.
This is to allow FEA to install the transformer that was removed for maintenance works in the last shutdown and for contractors to carry out other mechanical and structural upgrades at the plant.
After the completion of works, it will take another 10 hours to fill the reservoirs so customers are to store water to last until Sunday morning, February 27th.
All customers are advised to store water prior to the shutdown to minimize the inconvenience. The following areas will be affected:
All villages/settlements form Sawani and all areas along and around Princess Road from Sawani Village to Waila
Lomanikoro, Nabua, Drekena, Nadoi, Tavuya, Nukui, Nailili, Nasali landing, Burebasaga, Dilkusha, Lelean Memorial School, Muana, Vunisei, Vatueba, Lokia, Koronivia, Farm Road,
Nasinu/Suva Areas
All areas along Nakasi, Davuilevu Housing, Wainibuku Road, Narere, Navosai, Makoi, Laqere, Tovata/Tuirara, Kubukawa Road, Kalabu Housing, Nepani, Nadawa, Nadera, Valelevu, Kinoya, Laucala Beach, Whole of Vatuwaqa, Fletcher Road, Jerusalem/Nokonoko Road, Rifle Range, Grantham road, Raiwai, Raiwaqa, Milverton Road, Brown Street, USP, Suva Point areas, Naveiwakau, Veikoba, Sakoca, Khalsa Road, Delaitokatoka, Newtown, Tacirua East, Tacirua Heights, Cunningham, Tacirua Vilage, Tacirua 6miles, Savutalele, Dokanaisuva, Along Princess Road from Khalsa Road Junction to Loa Street Junction including Ragg Avenue, Tamavua Hospital, FSN,FSM, Naranji Street, Upper Mead Road to Lovoni Street Junction, and Tamavua Village.
Customers living in areas not mentioned are also advised to store water.
The inconvenience caused is highly regretted.
