“When competitive sports are well organised  they bring out the best in athletes and becomes entertaining for spectators. The organisers and host schools for the Lautoka, Nadi and Nadroga Navosa Athletic Zones are thanked for their effort,” Mr Bole said.

“Violent free games exhibit the level of self- discipline of students and the well- disciplined nature of schools. That is what we want to see happening in all sports fields irrespective of the type of game played.”

He also thanked the Police for the provision of security and the Army Camp in Lautoka and Nadi for their presence as First Aid personnel during the Athletics Zone Meets.
