Youth in the Northern Division were all smiles yesterday after receiving a grant, supporting their small and medium-sized business.

The grant, which was initially provided by the Korea International Cooperation Agency, was handed over to members of Wailevu Youth Club by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to aid them in their tailor business.

The Ministry allocated the grant towards the procurement of necessary equipment needed to assist youth clubs in starting their income-generating projects.

Minister Bala, while officiating at the event in Wailevu Village in Cakaudrove, thanked the youth for the proactive approach to such opportunities and urged them to continue the momentum of success.

The grant was made up of tools and equipment required for sewing to a total of 23 youth club members.

An elated youth club member, Mr Semi Rokovini acknowledged and thanked the Ministry, saying that the Government has empowered young Fijians, helping them to earn a living.
