HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT RATU WILIAME KATONIVERE'S ADDRESS AT THE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS OF FIJI’S FIRE SERVICE PARADE

As President of the Republic of Fiji and the Chancellor of the Order of Fiji, I am indeed honoured this morning to have reviewed your parade and to confer these well deserved Service Medals under Fiji’s Honour System.
 
I acknowledge and commend the retirees that were conferred with medals as well today!
 
I thank your Chief Fire Officer and the senior officers for preparing you for today’s parade – Well done!
 
I also thank the RFMF and the Fiji Corrections Service as well as other stakeholders of the NFA for their contributions and commitment to this important event.
 
Vinaka Vakalevu na vosota, na qacoya na cakacaka, na gumatua e na I tavi kece sara kei na cakacaka vata tiko!
 
I thank everyone for their commitment, passion, and determination to all duties, team work and camaraderie – You should all be proud firefighters/officers today!
